A Family Story of Growth and Success
The Lipp family have been in business for well over 50 years.
When Kurt and Vera Lipp settled in Kerang in 1959 they couldn’t have imagined where their family business would be today.
Beginning their operations out of a railway shed at the Kerang sale yards, the family took on the Pivot fertiliser Distributorship back in 1967 and so began their association with fertiliser sales and spreading in and around Northern Victoria.
Over the years, the company grew to include New South Wales and the expansion didn’t stop there. In 1984 Lipp’s took over Dartagook Salt which complemented its freight operations with daily deliveries of salt to Melbourne with a return delivery of other commodities.
Lipp’s also established Kerang Gypsum Supplies – again a natural fit with their current services and have recently purchased Mallee Gypsum to guarantee an uninterruptedly supply for their customers well into the future.
In 2013 another chapter in the Lipp journey began, when they stepped into the merchandise and farm supplies market. This allowed Lipp's to offer their cliental a wider range of products and services that already worked in well with the existing business. As the industry changed, Lipp's made the decision in 2018, to sell their fertiliser and merchandise business. This allowed the company to focus more heavily on their Salt and Gypsum production and associated freight services. The companies logistics has grown over the years and is now one of the largest wool carriers in Northern Victoria & NSW.
Lipp’s are a true family business with Norman, Alfred and Corina, along with their partners Lyn, Margaret and Anthony, as well as the third generation now actively involved.
In August 2018 a new chapter has begun, with a business name change and fresh new branding, now know as Lipp's Natural Resources. Together with their expert friendly staff, the Lipp family continue to expand and modernise the logistics capabilities of the business – and are committed to providing the highest quality products and services to Agriculture across Victoria and New South Wales.
